Valet Mode- Peace of Mind When You Hand Over the Keys

When your Hyundai is in someone else’s hands — at a valet, a service center, or with a guest driver — Valet Mode restricts access to your garage door controls, helping to keep your garage access private.

With Valet Mode, you can:

• Prevent unauthorized garage door access while your vehicle is being serviced or parked by a valet
• Maintain full access control to your garage from the MyHyundai app, even when Valet Mode is active

Getting Started with Hyundai myQ Connected Garage

• An active Bluelink**** subscription
• The MyHyundai app is installed on your smartphone
• A compatible myQ-enabled garage door system
• Compatiable Hyundai Vehicle Model 

Linking Your myQ Account

Step 1) Scan QR code on vehicle infotainment screen to link myQ account. In the MyHyundai app go to the Subscriptions Page using the app menu. Find Hyundai myQ Connected Garage to link your myQ account or learn more about features and 90-day free trial*** eligibility.

Step 2) Activate Free Trial: If eligible, follow the steps to activate your 90-day free trial*** — no credit card required — and tap “Connect to myQ Account.”

Step 3) Confirmation: After linking, you’ll see a message confirming successful integration. Tap to return to the Subscriptions page in the MyHyundai app.

Managing Your Subscription

Step 1) Go to Menu > Subscriptions Page in the MyHyundai app.

Step 2) View your myQ subscription status:

• Linked: Shows account/garage status and expiry date.
• Not Linked: No expiry date is displayed.

Subscription Plans & Pricing***

Smart Garage Control - Add myQ to Any Garage Door Opener

If your garage door opener isn’t already myQ-compatible, the Smart Garage Control by LiftMaster is a simple add-on device that brings myQ functionality to nearly any existing garage door opener.

How it works:

• Purchase the Smart Garage Control device (available at discounted pricing for Hyundai owners)
• Follow the installation instructions
• Pair with your myQ account and start controlling your garage from your Hyundai

Unlinking Your Vehicle

If your account is linked, select the “Unlink” option.

Step 1) Confirm the action in the pop-up.

Step 2) Status will update to “Account/Garage Not Linked.”
