Due to a network outage that occurred on Sunday February 9th, your vehicle’s connection to Bluelink may be affected. If you are experiencing problems with remote commands or other Bluelink services, please see the instructions below to first check your connectivity status, and then if needed perform a head-unit reset.
To check if your vehicle has been impacted by this issue, please refer to recall and service site.
Step 1) Start the vehicle (Ignition-ON).
Step 2) Go to “Settings” in your vehicle touchscreen, and then select “Data/Network” (or “Bluelink” for some older models), and then select the “Reconfigure” button. If you receive a confirmation of successful reconfiguration, please try using your Bluelink services again as this may fix the issue. If you receive an error and the reconfiguration is not able to be completed, or if your Bluelink services are still not working please proceed to step 3.
Step 3) Depending on which year and model you have, you may have a pinhole reset button or you may have to perform the reset via the standard multimedia buttons near your touchscreen. If you have a pinhole, you will see a small hole often near the volume knob. You will need to press it with a paperclip or similar tool for 5 to 10 seconds in order to complete the reset. The exact location of the hole will vary by model and year. Alternatively, if your model does not have a pinhole, press the Map and Setup buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. In this case the screen will go dark and system will reset which may take up to 2 minutes.
Upon completion of these steps your connectivity should function as normal, however, if that is not the case, please schedule an appointment with your Hyundai Dealer.
