We want to inform you how upcoming third party cellular network changes will affect access to Hyundai Bluelink features for certain 2012-2016 vehicles.  Affected vehicles include all 2012-2014 Bluelink equipped vehicles, 2015 Bluelink equipped vehicles (except Sonata with Navigation and Hyundai Genesis), and 2016 Bluelink equipped Santa Fe, Equus, Elantra, Elantra GT, Veloster (Non-Navigation), and Sonata Hybrid vehicles.

The Hyundai Bluelink devices in the affected vehicles require a 2G cellular network to access Bluelink services1,2. These cellular networks are maintained by wireless service providers outside the control of Hyundai and Hyundai Bluelink. Due to changes in telecommunications technology over time, the wireless service provider of the network enabling the use of Hyundai Bluelink devices in the affected vehicles has recently announced that it will discontinue 2G cellular network service by December 31, 20212.

As a consequence, after December 31, 2021, we regret Hyundai Bluelink on certain 2012-2016 vehicles will become inactive as a result of the network discontinuation and access to Bluelink services will be unavailable2. We have adjusted our Service Plans to allow affected Hyundai Bluelink customers to have the maximum duration of service until the network discontinuation. Therefore, after February 23, 2021, annual subscription renewals for Hyundai Bluelink will no longer be available and will automatically renew to a Service Plan with month-to-month billing in order to access Bluelink services through December 31, 2021, unless canceled. Price will not be increased as a result of this change because all month-to-month subscriptions will be billed at a rate equal to the annual pricing3.

Please see below for additional details and note that after June 1, 2021, if you own an affected vehicle and your subscription lapses and/or your account is deactivated, you will not be able to re-enroll in Hyundai Bluelink services. Cancellation information is also provided.
